UNITED NULLIFY ARSENAL

Manchester United travelled to the Emirates Stadium hoping to secure any amount of points when battling it out against Arsenal and after 90 minutes the match concluded on a goalless draw as neither side managed to snatch any goals.

Arsenal had the chance to get at the top of the Premier League after Chelsea dropped points when the side of Jose Mourinho surprisingly settled to a draw when they played against West Bromwich.

Despite not being one of the most entertaining matches ever played between Arsenal and United, there were a few moments in the match that sparked brought life to the encounter and the Dutchman Robin van Persie was behind one of those instances as he got ball from Mikel Arteta and fired a shot that went straight to Arsenal’s goalkeeper Wojcech Szczesny during the early stages of the games.

Olivier Giroud tried to put Arsenal ahead on the scoreboard when he managed to sweep past his marker and headed the ball wide after a corner that was launched. Indeed, Arsenal were favourites according to the guys at completebetting.com.

The match continued ticking down with both sides trying to sneak a goal into the opponents net; Arsenal relied mostly on Giroud during the early minutes of the game while United had Juan Mata, van Persie and Rooney as some of the players that threatened more the net which was being guarded by Szczesny.

After clashing with Olivier Giroud, the Brazilian player Rafael da Silva had to be substituted and replaced by Rio Ferdinand. The 1st half of the match kicked off at a fast pace but the remaining 45 minutes saw the players having more slow paced rhythm.

During the last few minutes of the match Arsenal tested their luck as they played on a more attacking formation and even came close on scoring through Giroud who was later denied by David de Gea’s right hand save.

The match clocked eventually clocked out and both squads earned 1 point on a game that saw no goals being scored for either side.
