They were trying not to take the risk conceding a goal, and if you watched the Barcelona game and this one, you should have realised that once Chelsea were losing, they started attacking. That’s what counter-attacking is. When you play on counter-attack, you don’t care about posession.
And btw, I admit, I am Chelsea fan, but I’m talking from neutral fan point of vue.
Chelsea had a patched up 11. We had a kid making his debut in the champions league. Out 2 centre backs recovering from injury after 4 weeks out. Bayern had 20 chances and missed a extra time penalty and went 2-0 and 3-1 up in the penalty shoot out. Did i mention home advantage? Frankly, after all that Bayern deserved to lose!

CHELSEA FOUGHT TILL THE END!!
