Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud is the top goal-scorer in the team of Arsene Wenger. The French attacker has really made an impact in this season as he is one of the most influential players in at the Emirates Stadium after managing to score 14 goals in 20 appearances and aiding in Arsenal’s journey of snatching a top spot of the Premier League.
There is a player however that has made a huge contribution in Olivier Giroud’s success and it’s MesutOzil. If it wasn’t for the German midfielder, Giroud wouldn’t have been able to score as many goals as Ozil is the main source of assists not only for Giroud but for the rest of his teammates.
Arsene Wenger has been praising the work that MesutOzil has displayed in this season so far and the German player rightfully deserves all the praises that he has been getting as he is consistently one of the best performers not only in Arsenal but also in the Premier League.
“I think he has become an absolutely unbelievable player. Ozil is the main provider in our team and in the league. He has 13 assists in the league.Players who can make you score are very difficult to find and have something special on the vision front and on the technical quality. That is what Mesut is about. But he is also about, and people forget this many times, in his way an exceptional fighter’’ Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger said during a press conference as he praised MesutOzil and all the contributions that he has made.
MesutOzil originally signed for Arsenal back in September of 2013 and the Premier League club had to offload £42.4 million in order to secure the services of the German performer and he became the most expensive Arsenal signing in the history of the club.
Ozil arrived to the Emirates Stadium at a hefty price but he has proven his worth. He has undisputedly turned into the main playmaker of Arsenal. Not everything has been rainbows and sunshine for MesutOzil as he has had some to face some dark times in Arsenal with underwhelming performances and injuries as well but nonetheless, Ozil has fully recovered and once again became one of the most valuable players in Europe.
